A restorative balm for stressed skin.

Calm Balm is for skin that's been through something. Skin flare up, windburn, overuse of "active" ingredients, lip balm addiction, extreme winter (or fall, or spring...) dryness. Basically, any skin that feels irritated, reactive, needs some help.

Often, this kind of skin doesn't want more product. It wants fewer ingredients that are chosen specifically to de-escalate the situation.

Calm Balm is built around exactly those kinds of ingredients. The main one is kokum butter, an Ayurvedic ingredient high in stearic acid, which is conveniently one of the fatty acids that your skin barrier is made of. This means that it absorbs and supports instead of sitting on top, greasy. Even better, it includes bisabolol, a compound derived from chamomile that's been studied for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps calm the kind of skin that feels red, reactive, tight, stinging, over-exfoliated, or just generally unhappy.

The result is a dense, concentrated balm that melts when it touches the skin, stays where you put it, and feels soft, not greasy.

There is no fragrance, no essential oils, no excess of ingredients that might make things worse. It's non-comedogenic (just fancy words to say it won't clog pores) and uses plant-derived butters and oils only, with zero petroleum-adjacent ingredients in sight. Perfect for skin that is already dealing with enough.

 Benefits

  • Fewer ingredients, chosen specifically to de-escalate reactive skin
  • Non-comedogenic and breathable (every ingredient sits at 0 to 2 on the standard comedogenicity scale)
  • Fragrance-free and essential-oil-free for skin that's already overwhelmed
  • Plant-based, with zero petroleum-adjacent ingredients
  • Antioxidant support from rosemary CO₂ extract

Calm Balm is your...

Ultra-dry and cracked skin balm (hands, heels)

Helps rough, dry, cracked skin feel softer and more comfortable. Rich enough for severely dry skin without the greasy petroleum-jelly feel.

"I consider Calm Balm to be the most pure and 'medicinal' hand moisturizer I've tried. Since I have a tendency toward dry, cracking skin, I've used more different brands of hand creams/balms/oils than I can count. None have soothed and nourished my skin like this one." -Margaret H.

Rescue balm for irritated skin

Helps calm angry, reactive, irritated skin and reduces the look of redness. It deeply hydrates without feeling greasy or heavy, and it creates a protective layer that still lets the skin breathe. Works on anything that gets rubbed wrong, including watch or ring dermatitis, mask-line irritation, and glasses-bridge friction.

"The calm balm is my skincare SWAT team. Since childhood, I have struggled with severe eczema and dryness. After 30+ years of believing Aquaphor + Cortisone was the best possible long term relief solution, discovering the Calm Balm has helped me manage my skin so much better. Way less greasy-feeling, too, and I can put it on throughout the day while I work vs. just at night." -Josh B.

"I’ve been using Calm Balm on my toddler’s eczema flare-ups and noticed a big difference after just two days. The best part is how easily it goes on—it blends in quickly, which is essential when you're dealing with a squirmy kid. It’s become my go-to for his eczema and other dryness for both of us. Highly recommend giving this a try!" -Jessica S.

Escape from lip balm addiction

Great news! You aren't actually addicted, your lips are just stuck in a vicious cycle of a temporary fix that never lets them heal. Most lip balms just put a thick seal over the dryness, so it feels better on top, but stays dry underneath, and as soon as it wears off, the dryness is right back. Kokum butter (the main ingredient in Calm Balm) also forms a protective seal, but because it has a significant amount of one of the fatty acids in the skin barrier, it actually helps it repair. Congrats! Your lips get better over time.

"My lips were soft all day at work yesterday! I just need everyone to know about this, it's the first thing that's actually worked for my lips." -TGB

"Well done on this balm. I put a little on this morning and it's noon, and my lips are still in a good spot." -RW

Limited-ingredient balm for reactive facial skin

If your skin barrier is compromised, it might just need a break from heavy actives. Calm Balm is great for this, supporting the skin barrier while skin recovers. It's gentle enough for reactive facial skin, including post-retinol or post-acid recovery, rosacea-prone skin, or a sensitive flare from a new product. Bisabolol is in here specifically for the heat and reactivity that go with this kind of irritation.

How to use

Scoop a small amount (less than you think) and apply wherever skin is unhappy. Use the included tiny spatula if you prefer. Apply at least daily, more when you need it.

Ingredients

Kokum butter is our superstar and the main structural butter in the balm. Forms a breathable layer that helps support the skin barrier and keeps moisture in without heaviness or grease.

Squalane is a lightweight oil that absorbs easily and helps the balm spread comfortably instead of sitting heavy on the skin.

Mango butter softens rough or tight-feeling skin and helps restore suppleness.

Candelilla wax gives the balm its structure and helps create a thin flexible layer that reduces moisture loss.

Bisabolol is derived from chamomile and included specifically for skin that feels hot, reactive, or inflamed. Helps it feel calmer on contact. Most calming products lean on oat or centella; we chose bisabolol specifically because it acts faster on heat and reactivity.

Rosemary CO₂ extract provides antioxidant support and helps keep the oils in the formula stable over time.

Handmade in small batches in Tampa, FL.
