We believe that there are better options out there. For most things, actually.

Not "natural as a compromise." Not "pretty good considering." Things that are genuinely better than what everyone's been using, with cleaner ingredients, results you can see, no tradeoff required. The catch is that someone has to go find them, figure out how to make them work, and actually bring them to market.

That's what Leopard Goods is for.

I wasn't looking to start a skincare brand. I was just following a thread.

I'd spent years wanting to build something of my own, with strong beliefs about wellness and the gap between what mainstream sells you and what works and is good for you. A lot of that isn't products, it's sauna, cold plunge, how you breathe, what you pay attention to. The mainstream version of many things is fine at best and actively wrong at worst. There are almost always better options if you're willing to go find them.

Sometimes those better options are products. When they are and nobody's made them properly yet, that's where Leopard Goods comes in.

A woman at a farmer's market told me that kokum butter was the only thing that had ever helped her son's skin. I'd never heard of it, so I went to look for products with it and basically found nothing. The few things that existed were poorly made, grainy, nothing I'd want to use. I couldn't find the thing I wanted to buy, so I made it.

That's Base Layer and Calm Balm. Kokum butter balms that work (actually work, not "natural product" work) and feel good to use. No petroleum, no grease, no ingredients I wouldn't use on myself or the people I care about.

Every Leopard Goods product has to meet two criteria: it has to work better than the conventional alternative, and it has to be made with ingredients worth trusting. If it can't do both, it doesn't get made.

Skincare is where we started. It won't be where we stop.
